1. I’m a farmer’s daughter who married a preacher’s kid.

2. When my husband and I were first dating, we won a talent show at our company picnic. We sang “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling” and won $100.

3. I don’t like coffee and I often feel like an outsider because of it.

4. I got fired on the first night of my first job working at a donut shop. The boss didn’t think I was flipping the donuts in the fryer fast enough. Apparently, I didn’t meet her flippin’ expectations.

5. I’ve watched Steel Magnolias dozens of times and I still cry every time.

6. Some of my biggest fears are snakes, public speaking, and parallel parking in front of my husband.

7. After our car was stolen, my husband and I (it was mostly my husband but I went with him) tracked down our car, confronted the driver, and chased the passenger on foot.
